Administration

Mr. Murphy began his career with the St. Joseph School District as a paraprofessional at Pickett Elementary in the early 2000s. He later served as a special education teacher at Humboldt, Edison, and Pershing elementary schools before transitioning into administration as the Administrative Intern at Webster Alternative School. He also served as Director of Special Education for the Clinton County R-III School District before returning to SJSD as principal at Lindbergh Elementary School, where he currently serves.

Mr. Murphy holds a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology, a M.S. in K-12 Special Education, and an Education Specialist degree in K-12 Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University.

Mr. Murphy is married to his wife, Vicki, and they have two children.

Mr. Murphy was selected as the Outstanding New Assistant Principal through NWMAESP and is active in the NWMO LASE special education group.
